Rooted in the rich tradition of jazz and reimagined for today, the Iowa Bop! Collective brings together some of the state’s finest musicians to create bold, original music inspired by the 1940s–60s tradition. Led by woodwind artist Simon Harding, the ensemble celebrates Iowa talent through live performances  and educational outreach that aims to inspire the next generation of jazz artists.

The Iowa Bop! Collective has a responsibility to give back to music students all over the state by getting into the classroom to perform and interact with young musicians. They are the next generation of jazz artists and will keep this historic music alive and well. The only way to cultivate this is through personal interaction and performing with the students!
